Shandana de la Rivière was the winner of the NHV Hat Competition in 2020. Her piece Celestial Dimensions was in response to the theme Heavenly hats and explores alternative materials to showcase a combination of art and millinery exploring inspiration from Dutch Designer Rachel Ruysch and Parallel Worlds by Michio Kaku.
Shandana operates under two different brands; Atelier of Fashion and Art for her mainstream and commercial work which she sells mostly on Etsy and via social media outlets. Her self titled label, Shandana is for her experimental and innovative designs working with selected based on their responses to a specially designed questionnaire.
